Our greatest desire is to reach the world with the gospel. We currently support almost 90 missionaries around the world, which serve in the United States and overseas. For safety and security reasons some names are not listed below.

Our burden at Sweet Springs Baptist Church is to reach out into our "Jerusalem" with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through many exciting opportunities we have been able to have the opportunity to assist and help those in our area, but our ultimate goal and purpose is to proclaim, broadcast, and publish Jesus Christ and the good news that he brings and gives. Listed below are a few of the many ways that we try to reach our "Jerusalem".
Jesus said “Suffer, the little children to come unto me.” Through this ministry we strive to fulfill that verse. With our vans we pick up children and adults all over Limestone County every Sunday. We count it a great joy to bring children and adults to Christ. If you would like a ride to our church please feel free contact us and let us know.
Through the years, we have had the privilege of participating, as a church and individually, in public evangelism. Acts 18:28 says that the early church proclaimed the gospel "publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ", and we as a church try to follow their example. In the past (and currently), we have participated in and organized public street meetings, each year we go to parades and distribute thousands of gospel tracts, and during the Christmas season we enjoy caroling at public venues.
We at Sweet Springs Baptist Church always try to be thoroughly involved in and promoting personal evangelism. In 2011-2012, we completed Operation Jerusalemwhose purpose was to reach our own "Jerusalem" with the gospel of Christ. Currently, Operation Go is in effect, a continuous twelve week program focused solely on soul winning. On Saturdays and Sundays, we continue to go from "house to house" as Paul did in Acts 20:20 and publish the gospel.
Every Monday evening at 7:00 PM, we are blessed to tell of God's free salvation to man at the Limestone County Jail. Though these inmates are bound physically, we tell them every week of their ever present spiritual bondage and how Jesus Christ can set them free.
Nursing Home Ministries
Each Sunday afternoon after the morning services, we send many different groups from the church to minister to the elderly at the Ardmore On Main nursing home. Since these elderly are not physically able to come to the weekly services, it our honor to go each week to sing, teach, and preach to them from the Bible. Once every monthBro. Jeremy, our deacon, takes the youth group to the nursing home and allows them to be heavily involved in the service.
Children & Youth Ministries
For your little ones, our goal is to provide a safe and exciting time of preaching and instruction. Super Church is for ages 3 to 6 and Junior Church is for ages 7 to 11. With the use of fun songs, skits, games and preaching the children are challenged with Bible truths every week.
For your teens, we provide challenging times of instruction and great times of fellowship. Our church is greatly concerned about reaching the next generation. Our Deacon, Bro. Jeremy McCormick, and others thoroughly enjoy working closely with the young people. Bro. Jeremy takes the youth group to attend several youth meetings and camps throughout the year, as well as, many great and exciting outings, activities and blowouts.
Radio Ministry. Sweet Springs Baptist Church has the wonderful opportunity and blessing to reach our local area through radio. Every Sunday morning at 9:30 on radio station WSLV, 1110 AM, the Bible is preached with a clear, helpful message.
Media Ministry. Our burden is not to keep the Word of God only in the church, but to get it out to those around the world through media. We upload our pastors' sermons weekly as they are preached, as well as, visiting preachers and missionaries. Included are not just weekly sermons, but also the special meetings that we have, such as our yearly Missions and Bible Conferences. You can find the most recent messages from the pulpit of Sweet Springs Baptist Church by going to our sermons page at BRN Sermons. By request, we also offer mp3 CD recordings of our services.
